Adding Local Videos & Playing Offline (No Internet Needed)
Welcome to "Anxin Learn". On family trips — flights, high-speed trains, or remote mountain drives — your device may be on a weak or completely offline network.
"Anxin Learn" has a powerful local media decoding engine, so you can add videos before you travel and enjoy smooth, original-quality playback with 0 data usage, fully offline.
[!TIP] 30-second offline quick-start
- Two easy ways to add: Pick videos from your tablet's photo album, or batch-import from your file manager / USB drive (OTG);
- Plays instantly on airplane mode: 0 data usage, stable offline playback on planes and trains — no network required at all;
- Eye care & screen limits still work offline: Daily time limits, rest breaks, and bedtime lock-screen rules run 100% accurately even without internet;
- Batch import = automatic collection: Select multiple files and the app groups them into an episode series, generating covers automatically.
1. Two Ways to Add Offline Videos
Option 1: Import videos from your tablet's photo album
- Go to [[Parent Center]] → tap [[Add Video]];
- Choose [[Phone Album / Album Videos]];
- Select the videos you've saved — parent-kid science experiments, your own picture-book read-alongs, or classic cartoons stored in the album;
- Tap Import, and the app generates a nice cover and adds them to your library.
Option 2: Batch import from file manager or USB drive (OTG)
- On the Add Video screen, choose [[Import from Local Files]];
- Browse to your device's
Downloadfolder, a Baidu Drive download folder, or an external USB drive / SD card connected via an OTG adapter; - Common
MP4,MKV, andMOVfiles can be selected in batches; - Tap OK — the app sorts episodes by file name and combines them into one collection automatically.
2. Safe & Sound Offline Playback
- :icon(wifi): 100% local playback: Videos are read directly from your tablet's storage, so they open instantly even in airplane mode — no worries about content being removed online or cache issues;
- :icon(shield): Eye care & screen time limits stay on: Even fully offline, daily time limits, rest reminders, and bedtime lock-screen rules keep working via the device's internal clock — no endless watching during trips;
- :icon(star): Rewards keep adding up offline: Check-ins, stars, and wish-list data are saved securely on the device and sync automatically the next time you're online.
3. FAQ & Storage Tips
Q: Will imported videos be duplicated and take up twice the space?
No! The app references the original file directly and never creates internal copies, so go ahead and import freely.
Q: Why do some MKV videos play with picture but no sound?
Some videos use professional Blu-ray or Dolby audio codecs (like AC3 or DTS) that mobile devices don't support by default.
- Quick fix: Use a free converter on your computer (like HandBrake) to convert the audio to standard
AACand save it as anMP4file.
Q: How do I free up space after finishing a local course?
Go to [[Parent Center]] → [[Storage Management]] to see how much space local videos use. Tap "Manage Local Videos" to permanently delete completed courses from the disk — reclaiming gigabytes in seconds.
