Baidu Drive Authorization, Scanning & Playback Troubleshooting
Welcome to "Anxin Learn". This guide walks you through the common issues when importing or playing courses from Baidu Drive: white authorization screens, files not found, format filtering, and buffering.
[!TIP] 30-second first-aid checklist
- White screen on authorization: tap the refresh button (🔄) in the top-right, or better — scan with the Baidu Drive phone app for one-tap password-free authorization;
- Videos not found: for multi-chapter courses, tick "Include subfolders"; unzip compressed files (
.zip) in the official drive app first;- No SVIP needed: regular accounts stream at official 720P/480P smoothly — no paid Baidu SVIP required;
- Originals are safe: official OAuth 2.0 read-only connection — deleting in the app never touches your real drive.
1. Security & Privacy (Please Rest Assured)
Many parents ask: "After authorizing Anxin Learn, are my drive files safe? Could it delete my lessons by accident?"
[!IMPORTANT] Baidu's official security guarantees
- Official OAuth 2.0: this app follows Baidu's official open-platform standards — we never ask for, and can never obtain, your Baidu account or password;
- Read-only media permission: the app only requests "browse files & fetch video streams" — the bare minimum — and has no interface to delete, modify, or upload anything;
- Originals 100% untouched: renaming, pacing, or deleting entries in the app happens only in the local database — your Baidu Drive originals remain exactly as they are.
2. Common Symptoms & Fixes (FAQ)
Q: The authorization page is white, spinning, or won't connect?
- Why: the app loads Baidu's official page in a built-in secure browser. Network fluctuation, an overseas proxy, or DNS hijacking can cause timeouts;
- Fixes:
- Manual refresh: the top-right "Refresh" button (🔄) reloads the page;
- Prefer the app scan: scan with the Baidu Drive phone app for instant authorization — no credentials or SMS codes to type;
- Turn off VPN/proxy: proxies may block Baidu's auth server (
openapi.baidu.com) — disable temporarily and retry; - Re-authorize: go to [[Parent Center]] → [[Add Video]] → switch to [[Baidu Drive]]; if the token expired, re-authorizing refreshes it.
Q: My drive has videos, but the import scan shows nothing or empty?
Check these 4 common causes:
- Is "Include subfolders" on?: many courses sit in "Season 1 / Unit 1"-style subfolders. When ticking a parent folder, make sure "Include subfolders" is enabled so the app scans all deep episodes;
- Non-media formats are filtered: the app recognizes ~20 mainstream video (MP4, MKV, AVI, MOV, FLV, TS…) and audio formats (MP3, M4A, FLAC, WAV…). Text files (
.txt), PDFs (.pdf), and archives (.zip,.rar) are hidden automatically; - Hidden vault files can't be read: for privacy, Baidu doesn't open "Hidden Space / Safe Box" folders to third parties. Move learning courses into a normal folder;
- Shared links need "Save to My Drive" first: the app reads files in your own drive. For links shared in groups, tap "Save to Drive" in the official Baidu app first, then import here.
Q: Do I need Baidu Drive SVIP to stream videos?
Absolutely not!
- Official streaming: the app uses Baidu's official HLS streaming interface (720P preferred, auto-switching to 480P on weak networks) — regular accounts stream smoothly with no SVIP;
- Audio, zero buffering: audio stories and rhymes stream via the official audio feed with background play — low bitrate and fast to load;
- Just-transferred big files: a huge HD video may take a few minutes to transcode on Baidu's side. If playback shows loading, wait for the transcode to finish.
Q: Do imported drive videos use phone/tablet storage?
Not at all! Importing only creates a cloud index and episode structure locally; playback streams with on-the-fly caching — a dozens-of-GB course never downloads to the tablet. 0 storage used.
Q: Playback says "file not found" or the video is broken?
If the original was moved, renamed, or deleted in Baidu Drive, the app's old path can't find it. Tap [[Check for Updates]] on the detail page to re-sync; if the file is truly gone, remove the broken entry from your library.
