How to Allow Videos Only on Weekends

Many families want their children to focus on schoolwork, picture books, and outdoor play during the week (Mon–Fri), and only open long entertainment animation or big movies on weekends (Sat–Sun).

The Pacing system's Weekend Treat feature does exactly this — no more hiding the tablet and fighting over it.

2. How to Set It Up

  1. Open Pacing Management: Go to [[Parent Center]] → tap [[Pacing Management]];
  2. Pick the course: Tap [[Add Pacing]] (or find the show and tap [[Edit]]);
  3. Set the window to weekends: Under the update schedule, tick only "Saturday" and "Sunday" (or tap the quick label "Weekend");
  4. Set how many episodes open: Choose episodes per update (e.g. 2 episodes on weekends) and save — done!

[!TIP] Monday auto-lock After your child finishes the weekend episodes, at 00:00 on Monday the app automatically re-locks the show — no weekly manual toggling.

3. FAQ & Special Cases

Q: What about holidays or swapped work days?

For extended breaks, temporarily tick Friday or Monday as open days in Pacing Management; untick them after the holiday and regular weekend rules resume instantly.

Q: My child was fantastic this weekend — can I unlock one more episode?

Yes, manual rewards supported! On the video's detail page, tap "Unlock Next Episode Early", verify your parent password, and the next episode opens right away — your normal weekly schedule is unaffected.

Q: My child didn't finish Sunday's episodes — will Monday remove them?

No, they're kept! Already-unlocked episodes are your child's to finish at any time. Monday only stops new unlocks; unfinished episodes stay available.
